Project Update

The project was awarded by Council on April 12, 2023, to ESF Development, LLC for $1,494,233.10.

What is this project going to accomplish?

This project will add eight pickleball courts and expand the parking lot.  Four of the eight pickleball courts will include lights.

Project Schedule

The project went out for bid on February 7, 2023, and bids opened on February 28. The project was awarded by Council on April 12.  Construction began spring 2023 and is expected to be completed by fall 2023.

How will this project be funded?

• $950,000 – The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA)
• $300,000 – Walla Walla Pickleball Association
• $250,000 Lodging tax funds
• $200,000 REET
• $142,000 Economic Development and Special Project funding
