Clinton Division 2026

Updated: July 17, 2024

Project Update

Construction has been delayed to 2026 and the design is ongoing. Trees within the project limits have been reviewed by a professional arborist. The arborist has provided recommendations for preserving the urban forest within the construction limits and the City will be incorporating and expanding on the arborist recommendation to preserve existing City street trees to the greatest extent possible.

What is this project going to accomplish?

This project will replace failing water and sewer facilities in two separate residential neighborhoods.  The roadway will be rebuilt, and stormwater facilities will be upgraded.  ADA compliant cement concrete curb ramps will be installed at intersections within the project limits.

Work will take place on Clinton Street and Division Street from Boyer Avenue to East Isaacs Avenue, North Madison Street from Boyer Avenue to East Isaacs Avenue, University Street, and Pearson Street.

Project Schedule

Construction of the Clinton-Division IRRP project has been delayed until 2026. Design is nearing 60% completion and will continue through 2024.

The City has been successful in obtaining state and federal grants for multiple projects. The success of obtaining grants on other City projects has caused a shift in City resources and thus the delay to the Clinton-Division IRRP project.

How will this project be funded?

The project is funded by water and sewer rates associated with the Infrastructure Repair and Replacement Program (IRRP) and the Transportation Benefit District (TBD)
