Project Update

Design of this project is currently at 75%. Challenges with right-of-way acquisition, necessary to complete the project, have delayed construction. The City now plans to advertise for bids in the fall of 2024 and start construction in the spring of 2025.

What is this project going to accomplish?

This project will replace leaking steel water lines on Hobson Street from Clinton Street to Division Street, on Madison Street from Alder Street to Hobson Street, and on Division Street from Alder Street to Mill Creek. Sewer main will be installed on Division Street south of Hobson street.  Within the project limits, the full width of the road will be reconstructed. Cement concrete ADA ramps will be installed at the intersection of Hobson Street and S. Division Street and the intersection of Hobson Street and S. Madison Street.

The project is funded by Water Utility rates, Sewer Utility Rates, and Real Estate Excise Tax ( REET).
